In this guide
BeeHive’s mobile bar hire price list starts at $750 for Bronze and $1,150 for Silver, with Gold quoted individually. Separate bartender-only service starts at $350. The right choice depends on your guest count, service hours and how much of the bar setup you want us to provide.
This guide puts the starting prices, included supplies and optional extras in one place, then shows two worked examples. BeeHive is based in Orange County, California, with service in select surrounding Southern California areas by arrangement. Travel fees may apply.
All options are dry hire: you purchase and provide the alcohol using our shopping list. The service quote and your alcohol purchase are separate parts of the event budget.
Mobile Bar Hire Prices at a Glance
| Option | Starting price | Minimum service time | Staffing and guest guidance | Signature cocktails |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze package | $750 | 3 hours | 1 bartender; up to 70 guests | 2 |
| Silver package | $1,150 | 3 hours | 2 bartenders; up to 120 guests | 3 |
| Gold package | Custom quote | 3 hours | 2 or more bartenders; 120+ guests | 4 |
| Bartender-only service | $350 | 2 hours | Staffing tailored to your event and confirmed in the proposal | Confirm the menu in your proposal |
These are starting prices, not fixed totals for every event. Every booking is quoted individually based on guest count, service hours and add-ons. Confirm the hours covered by your quote; a minimum booking duration does not by itself establish every quote’s included hours.
Which option is the better starting point?
Bronze: a starting point for a smaller celebration needing a mobile bar and the listed package supplies.
Silver: useful when your event needs two bartenders, a larger bar and three signature cocktails.
Gold: a custom option for larger celebrations, with a custom-styled bar, premium garnishes and presentation, soft drinks, water and a Refreshment Station.
Bartender-only: a separate service for hosts or venues already arranging the bar and supplies. It is not a mobile-bar package.
Guest guidance helps narrow the options, but the menu and busiest service period matter too. A rush of cocktail orders needs more preparation than staggered beer-and-wine service. Use our guide to choose how many bartenders your event needs, then confirm the team for your actual menu and layout.
What the Price Includes
Bronze, Silver and Gold combine bartending with a mobile bar and the listed supplies. Bartender-only service includes professional bartending, bar tools, setup and cleanup, and a shopping list; the host arranges the remaining equipment and supplies.
| Item | Bronze, Silver and Gold packages | Bartender-only service |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile bar | Included; style and size vary by package | Host or venue provides a suitable work surface, or add BeeHive’s bar for $150 |
| Bar tools | Included | Included |
| Mixers, ice and coolers | Included | Host arranges |
| Drinkware, napkins and straws | Plastic glassware, napkins and straws included | Host arranges |
| Garnishes | Standard in Bronze; premium in Silver and Gold | Host arranges |
| Custom printed menu | Included; drinks are chosen together | Not listed among standard inclusions; confirm any request in the proposal |
| Setup and cleanup | Complimentary setup and breakdown | Setup and cleanup within the agreed bartending scope |
| Alcohol | Purchased and provided by the client | Purchased and provided by the client |
The $150 mobile bar add-on for bartender-only service provides the bar only. It does not add mixers, ice, coolers, drinkware, garnishes or other package supplies.
If your venue supplies glassware, confirm its quantities, sizes, washing and collection arrangements. Real glassware shown in inspiration photos is not a promise that glass rentals are included; BeeHive’s listed package inclusion is plastic glassware.
Extra Hours and Optional Add-Ons
| Item | Price | What to account for |
|---|---|---|
| Package extension | $100 per hour per bartender | Bronze, Silver and Gold; 2 bartenders for 1 additional hour = $200 |
| Bartender-only extension | $75 per additional hour | Confirm staffing and the complete service window in the proposal |
| Soft drinks and water | $3 per drink | Included in Gold |
| Refreshment Station | From $125 | 4 gallons, approximately 45 guests; $25 per additional gallon; included in Gold |
| Slushie Machine | From $215 | 2 gallons of one flavor, approximately 30 guests; $45 per additional gallon |
| Mobile bar for bartender-only service | $150 | The bar only; other equipment and supplies remain separate |
The Refreshment Station is self-serve, with a choice of house-made lemonade, infused water, iced tea or a seasonal refreshment. Slushies can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic; the client provides any alcohol. Two slushie flavors require a second machine station, with the second station and quantities included in your proposal.
Station guest estimates are approximate and depend on portions and repeat servings. For example, adding one gallon to the Refreshment Station gives a starting calculation of $125 + $25 = $150 for five gallons. Confirm the quantity your event needs rather than treating a guest estimate as unlimited service.
Agree on service start and end times before booking. For a partial-hour extension or a change during the event, confirm availability and billing terms with BeeHive; the published hourly rates alone do not establish a rounding policy.
Two Worked Cost Examples
These illustrations use the published starting rates with explicit assumptions. They are service subtotals, not final event quotes. Alcohol, any travel or venue charges, excluded supplies and other applicable charges must be budgeted separately.

Illustrative event scene; actual equipment and supplies follow your proposal.
Example A: 100 guests with Silver and a Refreshment Station
Assume BeeHive confirms a three-hour Silver booking at $1,150, with two bartenders suitable for the menu, and agrees to one additional full hour. Add a four-gallon Refreshment Station as a supplementary drink option.
| Item | Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed three-hour Silver service | Example starting quote | $1,150 |
| Fourth service hour | 2 bartenders × $100 × 1 hour | $200 |
| Refreshment Station | Starting four-gallon station | $125 |
| Service subtotal | $1,150 + $200 + $125 | $1,475 |
The station’s approximate 45-guest guidance does not cover repeated drinks for all 100 guests. In this example it supplements the bar; increase its volume if more guests will rely on it. Gold already includes a Refreshment Station, so compare the complete quote if Gold better fits your event.
Example B: three hours of bartender-only service with a bar
Assume BeeHive confirms that the $350 starting rate and proposed staffing fit your event. One additional full hour adds $75, and the mobile bar adds $150:
$350 + $75 + $150 = $575.
You still arrange alcohol, mixers, ice, coolers, drinkware, napkins, straws, garnishes and any other agreed supplies. If the venue already provides a suitable bar, the same service calculation without the mobile bar add-on is $425. Compare the complete supply budget with a package before deciding which offers better value for your event.
What to Budget Outside the Service Quote

Alcohol is always a separate client purchase. BeeHive supplies a personalized shopping list but does not purchase or deliver alcohol. Our guide to how dry hire differs from wet hire explains the responsibilities.
Use BeeHive’s alcohol shopping list calculator → to estimate beer, wine and spirits. Its results are purchasing guidance, not a recommendation to consume that amount. Check the assumptions against your guests and menu, and account separately for mixers, water, alcohol-free drinks, ice, garnishes and any toast.
With a package, first check which of those supplies are already included so you do not budget for them twice. With bartender-only service, assign each remaining item to the host or venue. Also confirm any glassware rental, venue fees, travel charges and other applicable charges before comparing totals.
Tips are optional and appreciated. Tip jars require both client and venue approval; do not treat gratuity as a mandatory percentage of the booking.
Venue and Insurance Checks Before Booking
Ask whether your venue permits client-purchased alcohol and outside bartenders, when vendors can load in, and when alcohol service must end. Confirm required training, certificates of insurance, coverage limits and any additional-insured endorsements with the venue and BeeHive.
California ABC’s mobile-bartending guidance distinguishes payment for bartending services from alcohol sales and requires hosts to purchase the alcohol in advance. For a public, ticketed or fundraising event, or any proposed alcohol sale, resolve the event-specific requirements with the venue and ABC before choosing the service arrangement.
For a separate overview of insurance questions, Schneiderman Insurance’s California special-event insurance guide discusses event coverage and venue documentation. A general guide does not confirm coverage for your event; request the documents and endorsements your venue actually needs.
A Practical Quote Checklist
Use the same service window and responsibilities when comparing proposals. Record a named contact for each task so an excluded item does not become an event-day surprise.
| Confirm | Planning basis | Who confirms it |
|---|---|---|
| Service and staffing | Package or bartender-only; guest count, menu, bar locations, arrival rush and service times | Host and BeeHive |
| Included supplies | Item list, quantities, printed menu and any venue-supplied glassware | BeeHive for its scope; host and venue for the rest |
| Alcohol | Shopping list, purchaser, arrival time, storage and leftover collection | Host’s designated contact, coordinated with venue |
| Stations and extensions | Number of stations, flavors, gallons, extra hours and prices | Host and BeeHive |
| Venue access and documents | Load-in, alcohol cutoff, power if needed, insurance requirements and deadlines | Venue, host and BeeHive |
| Final cost and payment | Itemized total, travel and other charges, deposit, balance and due date | Host and BeeHive |
Confirm handwashing facilities, waste bins, disposal and rental returns separately; they are not automatically included in bar service. Our guide to hire a bartender for a private party covers additional service questions.
A 25% deposit confirms your booking. Your proposal states the remaining balance and payment deadline. To receive an itemized quote from BeeHive Mobile Bar, send your event date, location, guest count and service hours, along with any add-ons you would like.
