Mobile Bar for Hire in Orange County: Packages, Prices & What to Expect
In this guide

Hiring a mobile bar in Orange County starts with one practical decision: do you want a coordinated portable-bar package, or do you already have a bar setup and need bartenders? The answer affects the starting price, supplies, staffing plan and what you need to arrange with your venue.

BeeHive Mobile Bar offers dry-hire mobile-bar packages and bartender-only service. Clients purchase alcohol separately using BeeHive’s shopping list; BeeHive does not sell, purchase or deliver alcohol. Confirm the specific services and supplies for your event in the written proposal.

Choose the service that fits your setup

A full mobile-bar package combines professional bartending with a portable bar and listed beverage-service supplies. BeeHive’s Bronze, Silver and Gold packages require a three-hour minimum. Published starting prices and guest guidance are:

Service Starting price Minimum Published guest guidance Published highlights
Bronze $750 3 hours Up to 70 guests Mobile bar, one bartender, two signature cocktails, mixers, ice, coolers and standard garnishes
Silver $1,150 3 hours Up to 120 guests Large mobile bar, two bartenders, three signature cocktails, mixers, ice, coolers and premium garnishes
Gold Custom quote 3 hours 120+ guests Custom-styled bar, two or more bartenders, four signature cocktails, premium presentation, soft drinks and water, and a Refreshment Station
Bartender-only $350 2 hours Confirm staffing in proposal Bartending, bar tools, shopping list, setup and cleanup

Guest counts are planning guidance, not a guarantee that one setup fits every menu or venue. BeeHive tailors staffing to guest count. Confirm the recommended staffing, service window, menu, venue access and all inclusions in your proposal. For Bronze, Silver and Gold, additional service time is $100 per hour per bartender. Bartender-only service is $75 for each additional hour.

Bartender-only is labor-focused. It does not automatically include a mobile bar, ice, coolers, mixers, garnishes or drinkware. If you need a portable bar with bartender-only service, the $150 mobile bar add-on provides the bar itself only; it does not add other supplies or services. Ask the venue what is already available before choosing this option.

What to confirm before booking

Ask the venue and service provider to assign each physical item to someone in writing:

  • Bar structure and working surface: venue, host or proposal?

  • Alcohol: purchased by the host using the shopping list.

  • Ice, coolers, mixers, garnishes and drinkware: which are included for the chosen service, and who supplies anything else?

  • Menu: how many signature cocktails are included, and are alcohol-free drinks or specialty ingredients part of the agreed scope?

  • Access and timing: when can the team load in, set up, serve and break down?

  • Staffing: what is recommended for the guest count, menu complexity and expected rush periods?

This list matters especially for bartender-only bookings. A bartender can arrive ready to work while the venue still lacks a usable bar, drinkware or ice if no one has taken responsibility for those items.

Plan the menu and quantities

Keep the menu sized to the event. Bronze includes two signature cocktails, Silver three, and Gold four. Choose drinks with clear flavor differences, and tell guests what each contains in plain language. Ask about alcohol-free options when you request a proposal, and confirm ingredients and supply responsibilities rather than assuming they are included.

BeeHive’s alcohol calculator can help estimate host purchases from the number of guests who may drink, bar hours and planned beer, wine and cocktail shares. It is an inventory estimate, not a consumption recommendation. Mixers, ice, water, alcohol-free drinks, garnishes and a separate toast need separate planning.

For staffing, start with the menu and event flow, not guest count alone. A cocktail-heavy menu with several shaken drinks needs more active preparation than a simple beer-and-wine menu. Confirm the final recommendation with BeeHive after sharing the venue layout, service hours and expected arrival pattern.

Understand the quote

The starting prices above are not a substitute for an event-specific proposal. BeeHive quotes each event individually based on guest count, service hours and add-ons. Travel fees may apply outside the primary Orange County service area. The proposal should state the service selected, staffing, hours, menu, included supplies, add-ons and payment schedule.

Tips are optional and appreciated. Tip jars require approval from both the client and venue.

Request a proposal

When you inquire, share your date, event city or venue, event type, estimated guest count, service hours, menu ideas and whether the venue has a usable bar. Review BeeHive’s packages and request a quote to confirm the right setup and who supplies each item.
