One little pour, one big moment
Champagne Toast Calculator
A toast pour is often smaller than a full glass of sparkling wine. Enter the people receiving a toast, choose the pour size and set aside alcohol-free pours to get two clear bottle counts. The calculator works for Champagne, prosecco or other sparkling drinks sold in 750 ml bottles, and keeps the toast order separate from drinks served throughout the reception.

80 sparkling-wine guests + 20 alcohol-free guests · 3 US fl oz pours · 0% liquid reserve.
Includes one toast only. Alcohol-free bottles also assume 750 ml; check the packaging. Test your selected pour in the actual glasses, and agree on pouring time with your service team.
How the estimate works
Choose a pour between 1 and 8 US fl oz; the starting point is 3 oz. This is an editable toast-service choice, not a required serving size. Ask the service team to test that pour in your actual glassware.
Each US fl oz is approximately 29.5735 ml. Bottles = guests in that group × pour size × 29.5735 × reserve multiplier ÷ 750, rounded up. The calculation retains the exact bottle yield until the final rounding step.
Alcohol-free guests are subtracted from the toast guest total. Their sparkling drink is calculated separately with the same pour and 750 ml bottle size, so guests opting out of alcohol still have a glass for the moment.
A reserve percentage adds liquid to each group's estimate before rounding. The glass count stays at one per guest; it does not include breakage or extra rental glassware. Ask your rental company about its reserve policy.
Use the result for one toast only. If sparkling wine will also be served during cocktail hour, include that separate demand in the broader bar plan. Check bottle size when purchasing alcohol-free sparkling drinks because some use different packaging.
A practical example
A 100-person toast with 20 alcohol-free guests, 3 oz pours and a 10% reserve needs 11 bottles of champagne and 3 bottles of alcohol-free sparkling drink, both in 750 ml bottles. Set out 100 glasses, plus any separate rental reserve.
