How we calculated this
- Start with everyone joining the toast, then tell us how many need alcohol-free drinks. We calculate the two bottle totals separately.
- Multiply each group’s guest count by the amount in each glass. We convert that amount to milliliters and divide by 750 ml per bottle.
- The starting pour is 3 oz per glass. Add extra drinks if needed; we round up to whole bottles for each group.
- Allow one glass per guest. Plan spare glasses and drinks outside the toast separately.

For 100 guests, including 20 having alcohol-free drinks, 3 oz per glass and 10% extra drinks need 11 sparkling wine bottles and 3 alcohol-free bottles. Allow 100 glasses, plus any spares.

Common questions
How many toast pours are in a bottle of champagne?
A 750 ml bottle gives about eight small 3 oz toast servings or five 5 oz glasses. We use the exact volume to calculate your bottle total, then round up. Spills and uneven pouring can reduce the number served.
How many bottles of champagne do I need for 100 guests?
For 100 guests having 3 oz each, plan 12 bottles, or 14 if you add 10% extra for spills and topping up. If some guests need alcohol-free drinks, enter their number so we calculate those bottles separately.
Can guests toast with their existing drinks?
Yes, if that fits your event. A separate sparkling pour is a service choice. Confirm the plan with the coordinator and bartender so bottles are not purchased or poured unnecessarily.
